Toronto-based Redknee, which last year acquired then-Nokia's BSS business, has signed a $9 million dollar deal with a tier-one operator in Asia Pacific.
The contract with the unnamed operator – which has 35 million mobile subscribers – increases software licenses, services and support, part of the service provider’s strategy to support the growth of its 4G/LTE network.
Redknee says the CSP will generated new revenue streams, launch innovative data services faster to market and enrich the customer experience with personalized offers, real-time notifications and customer self-care — all with the help of Redknee’s integrated charging, billing, policy management and customer care solution.
Lucas Skoczkowski, CEO at Redknee, commented:
“As an increasing number of subscribers migrate to LTE services, we see the opportunity to further grow with this customer as they expand Redknee software licenses," said Redknee CEO Lucas Skoczkowski. “Furthermore, the Asia Pacific region is projected as having the highest adoption of data services and fastest LTE migration, which presents a great growth opportunity for Redknee to expand the presence of our integrated charging, billing, policy management and customer care platform.
